Assessment of crucial pathways in validation cohort

This subproject performs the molecular genetic validation of the system medicine models from subproject 1 within the interdisciplinary SYS-GLIO network and serves primarily for the validation of the predicted novel genes, gene signatures or signaling pathways. Such models need to be validated in an independent cohort of at least the size of the initial cohort. It is expected that the key signaling pathways within these models will be identified by recurrent gene mutations and striking patterns of genomic activities that occur in the transcriptome and the methylome. The goal of this project is therefore to validate the models of TP 1 in an independent cohort of tumors.
